The man has been with MTN for more than ten years now and he is 53 years old and supposedly with at least 20 years of experience as a director or high level executive. Should be bringing stability to MTN especially having absored the MTN culture for 10 plus years

Very unfair. I know Dabengwa's record with MTN and it is exemplary. When I still did work for MTN, the man's reputation was impeccable and I doubt that has changed. I previously also did work for Eskom and inference above is also way off the mark and typical of media sheep.

His surname doesn't sound South African. If he is right for the job, then let it be. Unless it's MTN's policy to employ a local.

Could have been worse - like a South African with a culture of entitlement.

Why would a non-government company appoint a CEO like that? There's no record of that in this country... only in some bigot's head.
