Signal Level Meter for Novatel card

the AT commands are generic to GSM compliant equipment. I tested all four AT commands on my Novatel card via Hyperterminal.

The GPS routine is in VB6 but I'm sure you can port to Delphi. PM me your e mail addie, i'll send it on.

3G Dialer Update - Now With Signal Strength Graph

Not to steal cyberbob's thunder, but I couldn't resist updating my dialer ...

I've updated the dialer to display a signal strength graph over time. Useful if you want to aim an external antenna.

This is a test version so only the exe is on the ftp site. As before, install the main setupkit listed above and then replace the exe in C:\Program Files\Biometrics.co.za - Vodafone 3G Dialer\ with the one below.

I've only got a Novatel. Contract renewal next month so will probably get a Nokia 6680 - who knows what problems that will need fixing! Ah, and don't forget the 3G router ...

with small vodafone antenna:

Two questions..how can I build my own antenna for the Novatel card. I live in Potch and my signal at home absolutely SUCKS!!

I've downloaded the Signal Level Meter but gives me the follwing error:
Trying to detect primary communications port ... ok
Trying to detect secondary communications port ... ok
Checking driver version ...
Checking if Novatel UMTS630 datacard connected ... ok
Attempting to open communications port ... failed

Any advice?

Bio's dialer is running..and ooooooo I see.I need to disconnect..then again with my signal in this place I will be disconnected soon in anycase...which remeinds me...what is this antenna i read about? Who do i need to charm to get my hands on one?
