Signing up for an 8ta/TM contract.. [resolved]

Could someone please tell me if you were able to open a new 8ta/Telkom Mobile contract (of any kind) in the last week or so?

I went to the 8ta store yesterday, gave everything they needed, but a got a forewarning that they have some software error preventing them from signing up new people.

I asked the fella to try anyway. He entered most of the details needed and eventually showed me the error (something about setting up a limit on the contract that cannot be adjusted, which has to be adjusted apparently). Meanwhile there was another client fuming in the store because she has been waiting more than a week due to this 'software error'.

He explained that he is not able to call his HO or whatever higher power. All they can do is log a fault. Brilliant!

Now ultimately I'm thinking WTF, do they want our business or not? How can they let this issue prevail for so long?!

P.S : 8ta - You're July promotions are useless. I.e S4 with 300Mb/pm?! ''Big on data'', yeah right. Admittedly though, you've got some sweet sim-only data deals.

All sorted now. [mod, please mark as such] Seems as though the glitch was fixed. Got through the whole process in about 30 minutes today at the 8ta store. Yeah that's right, on a Sunday. Mucho brownie points :p

Happily cruising on my new data package :D
