Meh, I think there missing the point, I'll give it a go when they add advertisements and make it free, like spotify.
 
we need a service like Pandora... when it used to work here... and free.
 
If this works on a PC, then this is amazing. With uncapped internet and only R60 a month (less then a main meal for one person) I think this is great.

It will depend heavily on how extensive the music collection that is available is, but at that price ill give it a go.

They claim 18mil songs.
 
Prefer Spotify, if Simfy jacks up it's desktop app to the level of Spotify I'll give it a go, I'm ok with R60 a month but the app must be decent, not some adobe air piece of crap. Doesn't even register the play/pause/next/prev buttons on the apple keyboard like spotify.
 
I'm almost at the end of my free trial, and will definitely subscribe once it's over. I just wish Simfy would add support for AirPlay streaming. It's available, to a limited extent, on the iPhone App but not on the desktop version yet... Also, 192kbps seems a bit low - can't they bump the quality up to 320?
 
Registered for the trail version and loving it, yes its R60 buck but guys really , its not that bad. The desktop version needs abit of work takes forever to start playing songs even in offline mode.
 
I can't see one good reason why I would choose this over just downloading anything I want using BitTorrent.

This way, at least the artists get a cut. Don't want to start something here now, but BitTorrent is basically stealing.

Ever noticed how it's only the crap bands and musicians who complain about people "stealing" their work?
 
if we had better data prices I would do this anytime:) but the data is going to cost me more then the service (phone-wise)
 
"Why would you illegally copy music when Simfy Africa is legal and a click away for R60 a month?"

You guys have left out Mobile Data streaming cost
85meg for about 20 songs per hour is R12.75 - on Cel C OOB 15c per meg
On Vodacom & MTN you will have to take out a second bond ;-)
