Simple DIY alarm system - 1 room

Hi everyone



I'm pretty sure, somebody already had this challenge. I hope you guys can help with a solution.

Scenario: single room with one door

Challenge: simple alarm system for intruders

Requirements: (1) alarm to go off, once movement detected, (2) LED at door, once system activated, (3) remote control to activate/deactivate system

I'm looking for a affordable solution. No need to be connected to some security service to come out, etc. Simply press a button on the remote, LED switches on at door to show an alarm is set, and once triggered by movement, an alarm should go off.

Systems, which runs off batteries, not applicable to my requirements. (don't want to sit with flat batteries all the time..)


Any help would be much appreciated.

If you have the electronic know how, you could build it yourself.

What do you plan on doing when there's a power outtage.

Oh and LED's to indicate when you're home or not is really a good idea to let the bad guys know when they can strike or not

There are also camera pir devices.
Pop a sim into it and it sends you an sms if triggered, allows you to capture video or images and remotely view the room.
