Try this out for size....

I put MP3's onto my Cellular Telephone (amazing enough in and of itself), but when I get into my car... there is this thing called Bluetooth and now these MP3's play on my car speakers...

Its MAGIC i tell you, MAGIC!

OTA Music! WOW!

Sweet sweet magic! Just be careful because if your cellular telephone uses a Samsung Plasma technology it will burn the MP3 into the car speakers for ever.

Couldn't help the chuckle when i read this!

Three years ago I followed advice here on myBB and bought a 51" Samsung plasma, it was nice for the first year or so, but you should see the amount of burn-in that thing has now. It is flawed technology from the word go and those that recommend it should be ignored.

I think a few people might have warned you ;) but the plasma zealot seems to win.

This, he was warned. But the usual "it doesn't happen on most plasmas if you take care of it" excuses turned up...

The Huawei Ascend P6 was clearly not made to take picture of burnt in images - just like the Samsung PS51E450 was not made to display pictures....

Sure it was, but not for extended periods over many moons, your pic is not something that happens easily. Tried running the scroller overnight?

Not too bad though if you're actually viewing content, I'd say it's hard to notice. ;)

I don't know why it is the no name brands are always very open with codecs.

Do they just not pay the royalties or what?

Yeah, neither can I....

Just hope that no more people fall for your nonsense about plasma... Lesson learnt.

There's no nonsense. You only have yourself to blame. And you know you have no grievances besides a bit of burn, and that the raving you did about it in the beginning holds true for the most part.

Please hurry and get your LCD.

The irony is that in the past ±3 years, there's been 3/4 cases of plasma burn. And the latest is actually from someone with some technical knowledge... :D

There's also a simpler solution to all this...don't be a cheap ass.

You get what you pay for and a 4-series Samsung Plasma is very low on the list.

Does it even have pixel shift?

And let me guess the auto power off settings enabled by default you manually switched off because you thought you didn't need them?

4 Series does have burn protection. I did ponder asking Roux about it but decided to save my energy...

Yeah I'm pretty sure like most people who have had these issues they did something silly to accelerate the problem.

Funny how my old LCD which is supposed to be immune has burn in while my Plasma has no such problems.

Just set the auto off and dim features and job done.

Let me tell you what happened, it had all that - and it was all turned on. Then after a firmware update it was defaulted into "demo" mode. I noticed this after a month or so when I did not see the pixelshift happening and it kept returning to the brightest level every time you turned it off. I googled how to get it out of demo mode but the damage had been done. If it can't handle a month of that then to hell with it. Plasma sure is nice and bright, but it does not last and in life I like things that last.

Actually bumped into the person that bought my 47" Logik LCD which I had before the Plasma - he is still happy with his purchase.

Anyway, to quote our plasma loving friend "this is a thread for buyers and owners of" a Sinotec TV. If you want to post about Opel or whatnot then do it elsewhere, here we post about all things Sinotec, here is a picture of my next Sinotec and unlike Samsung that comes with a 1 year warranty, or Logik with 3 years, it carries a 5 year warranty :

Samsung has flogged cheap crap low quality crap for years now and they get away with it through a huge marketing budget.

But demo mode doesn't have any still imagines?

And my Samsung has a 3-year warranty.

But I'll be honest I have frequently been impressed with Sinotec at the price point and if you really don't have more money to spend then it's probably the best you can do.

Logik or HiSense and the like I wouldn't touch unless it was free.

But then most people who don't want to spend money on these things also can't appreciate picture quality and wouldn't understand what they paid for by spending more anyway.

Same kinda of people who consider Opel a great German brand...
