I cant let her use my computer every morning at 6! Remember hes in Canada, timezones :)

id rather pay for that cable MYSELF than have my sister in my room every morning at 6 chattering to her bf :D
Get one of these - connect it to a normal cordless phone and as long as your computer is running she can call that way. Cost is about r300.

Alternatively you can get a standalone cordless skype phone like this which doesnt require a PC.

That's pretty nifty looking.... Besides, we're all keen to tell others about the nice sounding products out there that we haven't ourselves tested yet... let us know how it goes ;)

which one? I use the uConnect with a cordless phone and it works great - POTS and Skype. As I mentioned you need to have a PC running for the skype to work though POTS isnt affected.

There are plenty of posts on the [searchforum]DUALPHONE[/searchforum].

Ive got a better plan... tell your sister long distance relationships dont work, let her get all depressed, then tell her that the only way to feel better is to have a slumber party with all her hot girlfriends AND WHAM you've got 10 chicks jumping around the house with nothing byt pyjamas on...

Roofies aint that expensive man ;) WHAM you've got one...

If not go for the cable, my wireless router has trouble giving my laptop good reception over 5 metres (2 walls)

What about those ethernet over power (I'm not talking about power over ethernet) things ... they cost a lot, but will still be wired and no hassle ... don't no how reliable they are though.

Be a problem if they two rooms are on different fuses. AFAIK the EoP can't jump this.
