One Eskom employee got kickbacks on R450-million in dodgy deals

The Special Investigating Unit's (SIU's) investigation into Eskom's procurement processes has revealed that staff at the Kusile Power Station created large numbers of purchase orders outside of regular work hours.

Based on its data, the purchase orders created outside of usual work hours at Kusile total more than R450 million, and a staff member at the power station is now facing disciplinary procedures.

What now?!...

He estimated the total cost of Kusile Power Station to have reached R226 billion, which is R145 billion more than the initial budget.
WTF...

If that is right...

That's about $12.2bn

That's approaching what's budgeted for the proposed successor to the Large Hadron collider.
Needless to say the previous one was cheaper than Kusile then.

-big ring is proposed new one, next to old one.

And what do we get? A coal power station that doesn't work well all the time, incredibly screwed up politics around it from the start, which screwed up our politics a lot to this day, with billions in yearly coal contract expenses, and massive ongoing operational procurement corruption the likes of which is enough to make a honest person vomit.

Eish, that’s around the same time I leave WhatsApp groups

What about the corruption in the actual building of it. If one can call it building............................

Oh wait those are the important cadres so lets skip that part...........

The masses who keep voting for the ANC are not complaining. They didn't foot the R450,000,000 stolen money.
