Exactly, But not chicken legs. Ever tried the stinkiest cheese I know - Mecklenburg?
Exactly what?
A local dish enjoyed by many in South Africa is chicken feet, just like frogs legs, sheep's eye balls, brains, bulls nut sacks and other peculiar foods are local dishes enjoyed in France or wherever.
Climb out the gutter old timer.
I'll stick to being a knob.
Corrected for accuracy.

I don't know about healthy, I was talking about them being delicious, have you tasted them?

I haven't.

Are they really tasty and how do you cook them?

Don't they feel all sinewy in your mouth?

Just like you would any other type of meat, cook them, fry them, braai them, it's all up to you.

No, they feel okay in your mouth, it's chicken after all, you either chew everything, meat and bone together or you delicately get all the meat from the bone with artful precision.

This is why there is no hope for this country. People that live here have not even tried chicken feet.
It's actually pretty good.
Unfortunately just another thing the poor gets ripped off by. Even at R30/kg it probably 80% bone, the rest just skin and fat, very little nutritional value, but taste great.

Well its basically just chicken skin.
When you buy them they should be cleaned, otherwise just scrub them and pull the nails off, The nails just have a thin hard outer layer you pull off.
There are two ways to cook them that is nice.
One is to boil them soft in a sweet curry and onion sauce, then you basically suck the bones clean.
Other way is to either fry or braai it to get a crispy skin just like you would with chicken wings, can add whatever sweet/sticky sauce after or just any spices that you like on your chicken.

People eat weird sh1te all over the world, surely an esteemed traveler as yourself should know this?

Sweden: fermented fish
Japan: Tuna eyeballs, wasp crackers
USA: fried rattlesnake, bull testicles & Stinkheads (fermented head of a king salmon)
Italy: maggot cheese

etc.
Don't forget the Germans with presskopf and blutwurst
Or the Scots with haggis

7 of the poorest people are shot dead, and the nobs at MyBB fixate on the produce they were selling. Yeah, sounds about right.
Btw, they were being robbed of their money and mainly cellphones. That's what they died for.

LOL :)

Hmm, that doesn't sound bad actually, seeing as tripe is considered a delicacy in some places.

So will you get beef tongue on the menu in these first world countries, have you eaten that? Or offal? Skildpadjies? Skaapkop en harsings?

Skilpadjies are too rich for me but the wife loves them. It's liver wrapped in fat. The rest you can keep too. Won't eat that.

I can't understand why people want to start eating at the head, eat their way right through the beast, out of the asre and leave all the good stuff on the outside.

She alleged the attackers were foreigners known to be heavily armed.

“They are very territorial, they commit a lot of crimes.
The incident happened about 9pm but they [the police] came at about 3am and we still had to wait for paramedics, with the bodies of our loved ones on the ground. It was such a big scene and only about 4am were they taken away.

Sounds familiar...
