Why do people always see this as Whites are leaving.
Most Black Profesionals I work with is also looking for an out.
Anyone in the medical field are currently looking.
Why be a nurse here if you can go to a country with less crime and more opportunities to grow in your career

You guys making this a race thing is reaching. This is an very bad politics situation and everyone, even though they vote ANC, is looking for better opportunities for them and their children and skilled workers are at the top of the list.

You forgetting what forum you on here.. professional, educated, intellectual cant be anything but white because IQ is limited to the pale kind of people. This is the dumb view point members here seem to accept. Usual BS which is why things gonna only get worse irl because these morons haven’t realized how life works.

In the meantime everyone I know of every color who is educated or skilled and able to leave is leaving en mass as soon as afforded opportunity and the others who just got off the planes, are looking around and deciding how much longer to stay. Only people I’ve ever heard of coming back because it was “tough” are not the kind that struggle in SA.... anecdotally I’d say it’s because in SA, you get treated the same as abroad except you get paid better and day to day life is safer.. I think for people who’ve always been “lucky” in SA, it’s a brutal reality that you not special when you land on other side of pond.

Compared to Zim and other neighboring countries, it looks like land of opportunity till they meet subtle resistance and then realize they wasted time here. One thing is certain though, everyone knows we on a cart going to hell, it’s only a question of when you can hop off and what you able to take..

You're correct. This isn't a race thing. When you have an overpopulation of stupid, "The Stupid" will happen and smart people run away.

If I look at the facebook groups for people teaching English in China it's 90% black South African who comment.

If a foreign country wants your services skills I am sure any colour would go. Any person who has a tertiary education can recognize that there is no accountability for corruption in SA and can see the mass misinformation campaigns for what they are.

That's said because of our weak currency you struggle getting out later in life. I think that as why you get so many middle aged people 40+ struggling as they don't have any networks overseas or might not have as much cash to start a new life.

I sometimes envy the #BornLabelled. The earlier generations like mine hoped it will not get worse but that naivety will cost me big time.

Smart people would have already made their move. The reason I didn't move is because i never had enough funds. Overseas relocation is expensive. People don't move because they are smart. They move because they are smart and have enough money.

We are in a period of the world where we have the largest displacements in history.
- All those millions of people from middle east and Africa migrating to Europe.
- All those millions of Zimbabweans migrating to SA.
- Millions of Venezuelans moving neighboring countries.
- All those millions of people from Central America moving up North to the US
- Then you have countries like India where millions after graduating the main goal is to get out and they move to western countries like Canada
- Millions of parents in China send there kids to study overseas and settle there permanently
- Millions of labour migrants work in the middle east
etc

We have very little war but in 2019 people are being displaced like we are at war.
The rapid changing of demographics in Western countries causes the popularity of the right until they will be in the minority and irrelevant in 20 years.

You are not smart for moving.
you are not special for moving.
You are just some of the hundreds of millions of people who are moving in the world.

I think you are horribly wrong in your synopsis. People of all creeds are getting the fsck out, it just so happens that it's whites first, Indians next and then black coconuts.

Hype doesn’t really help anyone, especially when there is so much baggage attached to the emigration issue.

That being said, current stats don’t have the NHI impact factored in. And the more people come to realize just how significantly their lives will change, the more people will start deciding where their tipping point is.

And sadly, it won’t even matter whether NHI is implemented or not.

The number of medical specialists I personally know who are getting things in order is scary.

Journalists should track Royal College of Medicine exam registrations to gauge what is happening/could happen.

The two factors that tipped it for me was NHI and prescribed assets.

There are obviously ton of other reasons such as heavy tax burden with nothing to show for it. Murder, rape, EWC, no state department that functions, no safety from police, roads in shambles, roads and towns dirty, beaches dirty, parks dirty and in ruins.

As i types this I realised how i can go on and on... but yes after the NHI was when I finally made the choice.
