Sky News Live on YouTube

So I ditched DSTv a few months back now as I could get Netflix and to my surprise, Sky News Live on YouTube.
As of this weekend I get an error message on YouTube's Sky News Live link saying " not playable on this device". So all my devices have the same issue......including the PS3.
Linking from the Sky News website, the error is slightly different "not allowed in your region"
So what's the issue now.... My devices (I doubt)...or Sky News Live on YouTube has now been limited but Geo Location.
Does anyone else have this issue, or a solution?
Incidentally, my VPN on or off does not make a difference ( so USA and SA IP's seem to be treated the same)

My gut tells me you need a UK VPN.

Me too... But it's been working flawlessly for the last 2 months at least on all my devices..... Methinks Sky News has changed its policy if I'm not the only one getting this problem

I've just tried to stream the live Sky News channel on YouTube using a US VPN and it works perfectly. That might make straight geo-blocking seem unlikely.

Odd - SkyNews works perfectly on my US based Roku but not on the YouTube Channel.

Using the Opera "Browser VPN" set to United States also seems to work ....

Peed off, still not winning here:

Tried so far.... all my apple products on (previously working Youtube "Sky News Live") get unable to play on this device.
So too my Playstation 3 (Youtube APP) and PC (Chrome Browser).....
As far as VPN's Ive used UnoTele, Borderlessinternet, and one other that I cant think of off hand setting Location to US and UK.....same story....No joy.....any Ideas, or at least can anyone else not play Sky News Live (Youtube)

Edit: As I type this I got this to work: Go to News.sky.com then click "sky news live" top right. The page opens with a YouTube player and it plays.....but why not directly to youtube

I had a similar experience - using a US VPN connection I can watch the UK Sky stream without issues (using the Sky News Live button), however if I use a UK VPN connection I get a message that "the content is not enabled for your country" - strange.

I'll continue using the US VPN then...
