Skype Video problem

Busy running the following specs:

- CrunchBang Linux 9.04
- Kernel 2.6.28-13
- Skype (beta) Version 2.1.0.81

I can receive video calls from friends and once I've accepted the call, I can start my own built-in webcam so I can be seen, however, I cannot start a video call myself.

If I right click on a contacts details, there is no option to start a video call.

Is there a setting I need to change or is this a Beta version issue ?

Managed to get it working..... after a fashion.

It appears that you first have to have the checkbox ticked "start video automatically" under the video options, call your contact and then the video starts when he/she answers.

Seems strange that there isn't an option when you right click on a contacts name.
