I am reading up on the safety issues with regards to Skype and cannot get a definite answer. Are there still many vulnerabilities or is it safe to allow in your network? Any feedback will be appreciated.

Actually, you have to add the following to your registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Skype\Phone, DisableSupernode, REG_DWORD = {0,1} manually to stop your Pc becoming a supernode.

Or you could go to Tools > Options > Connections. And uncheck the option “Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connections”.

That helps as well.
