I've actually given up with jeans. I want jeans that have that rough denim feel, that hasn't been pre-worn to the extent that the feel like thicker chinos.
The once or twice I've seen what I liked, the price made me laugh out loud.

Wrangler had a line where the material felt more or less like what I wanted, but the fit left a lot to be desired.

Buy a Levi 541 jean, they fit thicker upper legs well. They are a bit expensive, but they last for ages.

Try being 6'3" and relatively fit. According to the people who decide on dimensions for clothing, if you're tall you need to be fat apparently. So finding anything with long sleeves that fits well is impossible.
