SLOW ADSL speed, who to contact?

Hi there,

When I first got my ADSL connected about 3 months ago everything was running smoothly and I got decent speeds of about 380kb/s and sometimes just over 400.. I'm on a 4mb line but for the last 3 weeks or so it feels like I'm on a 2mb line. Who can I contact to help me with this? I don't like paying R425 for a line that can't give me the speed that I'm paying for.. I can just as well then downgrade my line to a 2mb as that's what I seem to be getting anyways. Sometimes when I'm lucky late at night after midnight it seems to pick up. But why is it so slow the rest of the day?

The other day when I called Telkom and spoke to a lady and ask her to do a test on my line and tell me why I'm getting such slow speeds, she replied, "Oh, I don't know" what kind off reply is that....

Is there a Telkom rep on these forums that can maybe assist me with this matter? I would really appreciate it.

I'm with Afrihost on a capped account. As far as I know I should not be throttled. But my DSL line is still off since Friday anyway and nobody over at Telkom seems to care to fix it.
Who is your ISP MTN? Contact them first to check!
