I was not asked for comment but have now sent what I wrote above (that we do not shape, throttle or slow down our LTE in any way) to Rudolph

i have no doubt that you would like to assist. point is, Afrihost was given the opportunity to comment and to assist before the story was published. Afrihost thought, "fck that". now its bad press, and now even the CEO graces us with his presence
As mentioned I was not asked for comment. The first I heard about this client’s issue was when I read the article and that’s why I responded now. I have asked who MyBB asked for comment so we can make sure that we get it right and reply next time. Thanks

I understand why AfriNatic (who is an absolute legend in my humble opinion) is unable to answer some questions as he’s not aware of how every facet of Afrihost operates. To be honest I’m not always either! But I can usually find out the answer. So I’m here and I’m happy to try and answer any questions you have.

if this is true, which I have no reason to doubt, then MYBB really screwed you over with this article especially considering they have your direct contact details right?

would you mind sharing when you get info of who it was sent to what went wrong and why no reply was given by Afrihost (assuming the request for comment was sent).

Mybroadband why did your customer not contact Afrihost? Or was it a family member? Or did your customer receive no help from Afrihost after they contacted them?

while i have you here...be a cool guy that runs an honest business and offer the option to pay for internet via EFT as its a prepaid service so i can give you guys a shot. for no other reason than your reps professionalism and willingness to always help.

I’m absolutely sure they didn’t try and screw us over on purpose and that it was a mistake - Clearly whoever they sent the request too on our side didn’t answer for some reason.

MyBB do have all my personal details and I have asked them that they also ask me any questions like this they have in the future so I can follow up and make sure we answer in time.

I’ve also asked who they sent it to so that I can see what went wrong so we can fix it for the next time.

Thanks

oh and also, I believe the article is incorrect, the Night Time allocation is between 00:00 and 06:00 rather than 05:00.

By the looks of how the thread is unfolding, this seems to have been a hit piece if anything. Little to no contact to Afrihost under falsely stating no comments were given, vague user seeming to want to be anonymous and I just hope the author has gotten in touch with the forum members here to help out and solve this situation.

Haha - AfriNatic been working his magic!

And I promise we do run an honest business too!

I won’t bore you with all the reasons we don’t offer EFT payments at the moment (it’s a long list and most - if not all the problems - are ours not anybody else’s)

However, having said this I will look into offering this as I know there are clients who would like to pay in this way and we need to give our clients what they want!

Nothing quite makes any sense regarding the figures quoted in the article excluding that 2GB per night = 60GB in a month.

The rest of the technical details just does not compute.
Wonder what OP was measuring in terms of a speedtest or two between himself and the P2P download point in daytime and nightime?
