Do you guys get the problem all day? I recently only get slow uploads in the evening.

Also, have you reported this to onlinesupport@cellc.co.za ? The more we complain, the more likely Cell C is going to do something (hopefully).

Don't hold your breath, I think CellC should stop selling new sticks, consolidate and fix their existing problems - they are obviously not able to do both at the same time. As for all the posts regarding the Western Cape - certainly their new shiny customer / help-desk software should alert them to the problems - probably don't know how to work that either.

Where in Claremont? This is mine and also stay in claremont. http://www.speedtest.net/result/1193685236.png

I am in Midwood Avenue off Palmyra - CellIDs used are 40081 and 40391.

Speedtest this morning http://speedtest.net/result/1193982948.png (MDMA has current CellID 40391 and RSSI -77dBm).

Cell C called a few minutes ago and will be doing an investigation today or tomorrow.

Where are you in Claremont? I think I saw previous postings of yours where you complained about the Livingstone tower but which has now improved??

Crap speeds here as usual. I miss the old 2010 Cell C :( All good things come to an end.

*sigh*

The above is what I got 5pm Friday afternoon and is the kind of speeds I mostly get any afternoon or evening of the week.

And this is what I got early Sunday morning...

So clearly there is a capacity / congestion issue. Unfortunately, it is not conveniient to only have to use the network when everyone else is sleeping.

It seems strange, though, that upload speeds seem to suffer much more than download speeds.

Yes it is pretty weird that the upload speeds suffers the most. I could understand this for an international speedtest but not for a local one.
