Sluggish iBurst

Am I imagining it or is iBurst much more sluggish this week than last?

It seems to me that the abusers are going full throttle at the moment and as they get canned later in the month, the service will pick up for the rest of us.

Difficult to prove without spending a lot of bandwidth. Anyone with ideas for getting evidence cheaply?

That, is quite a disingenuous statement to make. How can anyone on the iBurst service be an "abuser" when they pay for every GIG of data they receive?

There's no such thing as an abuser. Just people that paid for their bandwidth, and are using it during the first few days of the month. Nothing wrong with it, and certainly nothing "abusive" about it. The only problem is an ISP that's oversold at the beginning of the month.

And what would you do with the evidence? Sue the "abusers"?

They dont really pay for every gig, once capped they are getting the data "free" on 64kb, they only pay for their initial data 3gig,6gig etc. and what 8321 is insinuating is that they are using all of their payed bandwidth and will obviously be using their throttled connection all out for the rest of the month while other more "considerate" users are sticking pretty much to their limit maby a few hundred megs over tops.
Behaviour like this is a bit unfair but should not be totally shot down, I just think that they could maby use their initial bandwidth slightly more conservatively, maby only get capped on the third week or so? anywayz, it's their bandwith and their service they pay for...

Do you ppl really think that the 64k is'nt included in the price? Wake up 8321 the term abuser is used for ppl who download massive amounts of data a month not some one who does 3gb in 1 or 2 or 3 days. you can not lable those ppl as abusers I might as well call ppl who have 1 beer a night binge drinkers. I'm not telling you how to use your electricity so don't tell me how to use my bandwidth. BTW my speed is fine so your little theory bout "abusers" is crap-->
Your line speed is approximately 1015.9 Kbps or 124.5 kBytes/sec

My speedhas been pretty good so far as well.

As for "abusers". There should be no such term as, if WBS and every other "Broadband provider" gave the consumer proper broadband that was comparable to what is rolled out in other 1st world and even 3rd world countries, we would not be sitting in the current predicament we are in.

We'll said RVFmal.....ISP's like using the word abuser way too much. This is in big part telkom's fault for making bandwidth so expensive. Other ISP's in other countries would very very rarely use the word abuser if ever. My 2mbps ADSL line I had in london was almost always going at 100% and I never even ever heard a peep from my ISP, except for "thank you for your payment sir".

It's scary that ppl like 8321 and other's who don't know the truth, actually buy in to this whole abuser thing, and blame their fellow broadband users instead of telkom.

This is why consumer forums like this need more exposure. We cannot have lies and untruths spread by the likes of Telkom and other service providers in the aim of justifying their blatant overcharging.
