Small Business Claims

I am in the process of starting my small business. It is a one man business that has an online store. the business is run from home via my computer, and will not in all likelihood generate a large income. can anyone tell me if i can pay my rent, car, fuel, and other expenses so as to be able to draw a modest salary thus keeping my PAYE as low as possible.
