There is no conflict. Move on.

PC shop probably not making money and now trying to take a chance. Shame. Their greed is going to be their downfall.

From the article it doesn't sound like they are suing, so they aren't taking a chance with anything.
Although, if Facebook Meta doesn't want to be accidentally associated with the PC Builder Meta, they may just want to buy the trademark from them regardless.

If Meta does not work out for Zuckerberg, I'm sure that InfinitelyDroopyTits must be available to trademark (in keeping with his logo).

When Meta PC went to Facebook with this some time ago... It sure is a publicity stunt.

Nonetheless, the bigger issue is how insane trademarking is. Things like "meta" shouldn't even be allowed to be trademarked.

FB's lawer just contacted us, insisting we hand over their property, all our Meta data on clients ... :giggle:

Anyhow, there are many "Meta" trademarks in the USA, this below is Facebook Inc. trademarking Meta,

In October, 2021.

The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative also trademarked "Meta" back in 2015, around the same time Google trademarked "Alphabet".

All in all, Meta is sure not exclusive to Facebook, not going by the USA trademark register. Meta PC and MetaCompany are all pulling stunts. Trademark descriptions and criteria are more important than the word come to disputes.

The idea that Facebook Inc. would want to acquire their domain properties are however totally plausible because it makes business sense. The trademarks... Facebook Inc already registered the trademark.

On the contrary they are using a great opportunity for publicity, like Nandos does with every controversy. The media is also doing a good job of giving them that for free.

Someone needs to trademark Feta, just do it, quickly!

While you're accepting the challenge (whoever you might be), also trademark Fetal (a position Zuckerberg might want to take soon).

Nah, big companies just go to a 3rd world country where the records aren't properly kept, then register themselves a few years back and use that as evidence that they filed the name claim first.
