Can someone give me a price on this adapters?

I did a quick google and found similar units priced from R 800 to R 2 000. If this adapters is not under R 200(Ok R 300 max) I'm not interested I'll rather buy cat 5 cable(R 3.00 per meter) and use a 8 port 100 mb switch(R 250 +-).

The EZ Connect Adapter is claimed to be an easy and cost-effective way to create or extend a home network without the need to run expensive cabling or perform extensive network configuration. Each available power outlet is designed to be turned into a network connection point.

Since when is CAT5 expensive?

Exactly! CAT5 can be bought for around R1/m. Are you buying from Incredible Infection... Connection, I mean?

Yea but then you need to buy in bulk and no I'm not buying at incredible corruption(I think they charge R 50 for a 5 m cable) You will find it for R 3 a meter(inc vat) at most reasonable computer stores.

Yes, I use HomePlug in my flat, Edimax 60 mbps versions. About R 600 per adapter (per socket).

Don't even try to think about linking your neighbours house, or someone in a complex. Doesn't work! Unless you get an electrician to fiddle with the stuff and get you on the same fase.

And another -1 to myadsl.co.za for posting something LinkSys managed to do ages ago.
SMC $$ Backhand?
