Smokers are more likely to die from COVID-19

People who smoke cigarettes are more likely to die due to COVID-19 than non-smokers, according to Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) National Advocacy Co-ordinator Lorraine Govender.

"Research shows that people who smoke tobacco products are more likely to experience severe COVID-19 outcomes," Govender said.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuukkkkkkkkkkkkkkk Offfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

This arbitrary and thus irrational. Diabetes also more likely to die from COVID-19. Heart disease. etc, etc, etc
Is CANSA and the government going after those conditions as well?

Picking a single thing above and beyond others is irrational and is so transparently NOT about the virus. In that regard refer back to the first line of this post.

Given how high it ranks in the susceptible cohort list, we should ban ageing.

Anyone older than 75 should be charged and sent to the MOOOOON

“Research shows that people who smoke tobacco products are more likely to experience severe COVID-19 outcomes,” Govender said.

The Hôpitaux de Paris and Pasteur Institute claimed a substance in cigarettes – likely nicotine – could be responsible for increased resistance to the initial infection.

So which is it Govender ? Where's your research ? You talk out of your as$. Now fckoff and work on a cure for cancer.
