My customers have been complaining about Vodacom SMS services for a few days.

However, pull out and re-insert your battery and then power on your handset again just in case your phone is in sulk mode! :)

SMS issues specifically from their website (not phone / smartphone).

I didn't want to start a new thread, so latched onto this general 'SMS problem' one.

On the Vodacom portal/website, one can only send an SMS through successfully, for a maximum number of characters relating to 1 SMS. When text is increased to 2 and 3 SMS's worth, the site generates this error msg. once click on "Send SMS".

This page can't be displayed. Contact support for additional information.
The incident ID is: 4857627266180130460.

Maybe someone from Vodacom can their support to resolve this, as it's been going on for more than a week, that I've seen .. regardless of web browser being used (ie. Chrome, IE etc.)

 That is a lot of incidents!
Probably not without good reason, I regulary get SMS'es delivered late, worst case was 5 1/2 months ... , which boggles the mind more than a little.

SMS'es for card transactions take anything from instant to 2 hours - not acceptable ...

Calls to cell to gate devices - instant to 90 seconds, or device busy, get voice mail, at all times of the day, even at 03:00 in morning, church alarm went of, was key holder on duty ...

All in all, an inability to deliver constant quality service. This from Vodacom, "The Best Cellular Network" ... ?

I wonder, not to mention SMS'es that just never ever get delivered. And SMS'es are an integral part of so many security systems ...
