Hi All,

Just thought you might be interested to know why your mail is not being delivered!

Well I had to create a Yahoo mail account and thought I would send myself a test mail, it landed up in the Bulk email box!!!!!!!

This is what Yahoo think about the SMTP server at WBS!

SpamGuard is ON: [Edit Settings - What's This?]
With SpamGuard turned on, Yahoo! Mail will deliver suspected spam to this folder and delete them after one month.

Try it, I am sure it will do the same for you.

The only problem is who do I tell? letting the guys at WBS know about this problem, who do I tell the call centre is not capable of handling this kind of information, even if they did i seriously doubt they would know what to do with it.

I guess Sean is the only person at WBS who can take up this issue, i will send him a mail.

anyway that my 10 cents worth.

Maybe the IP is on the Spam block list, Remember when you send out mail you are actually sending it out with ur IP you using not SMTP Spam.

Maybe your IP is blocked check ur IP up.
I know my IP was blacklisted, so I reconnected and could do stuff again

My favorite is this one http://rfc-ignorant.org/tools/lookup.php?domain=smtp.wbs.co.za

WRONG! (jeez haven't done that for a while). When you send with iBurst, you first establish an SMTP session with smtp.wbs.co.za which authenticates based on IP. Your mail is then delivered to that server, which then relays the email on to the destination (or atleast the internet facing for the destination) SMTP server. The destination server deals with smtp.wbs.co.za, so where does your IP come into this? No where. You are sending out the mail servers IP.
