Yeah, folks.

Smuggler Attempts to Outrun High Performance Police Cars With a Horse and Cart
Janos Jakab has been arrested on the Romania-Ukraine border after leading police on a very short chase in his horse and cart. He had been attempting to smuggle 100,000 packets of tobacco and cigarettes worth £300,000.

Police in the area reportedly have high performance cars that can stay with any vehicle on the road. According to a police spokesperson not even a thoroughbred would have pulled Jakab and his cart to safety.

"In general smugglers are becoming more and more sophisticated in their methods of getting contraband across borders. But this case proved the exception to the rule," said the spokesperson.

Did he ever consider going off the road
Horses and the carts they pull have that capibility, but fortunately the only thing easier than catching a slow criminal, is catching a dumb criminal.

I fail to see how he "attempted to outrun high performance police cars" - more like resisting arrest. Sounds like one of those "lower broadband prices are imminent" headlines, that we flame the reporters for writing and accuse of sensationalism.

I do see the humour in this and thanks for posting. :D Just trying to see what it's like to be a negative MyBB user - like so many on this forum. And it sucks.

EDIT: In hindsight, maybe I shouldn't have posted this - as some could see this as contributing to the blatant negativity. But I've been in such a good mood these last 2 weeks, with so much going my way. Only MyBB members have brought me down - criticising stories/posts and nit-picking to find fault, where actually praise is due.

I do agree that the headline is rather bad. It's in fact so in-your-face that
it's almost a parody of the sensationalist headlines we see on tabloid press posters every day. Actually I don't know if FOX gave that headline but the
Shortnews item definately had, so it may have been added by the Shortnews contributor. :)

Yeah, lots of people on MyBB do criticise. However, ignore 'em I say. Don't let the buggers wear you down. :)
