Snail Pace???

Howzit, any one here live in durban and have ADSL. I am battling to get about 1kb/s and i am not capped. can't even get local sites up quick, can't use pop3 mail not even msn Messenger. any one else having the same problem. Started yesterday?

Hmmm, had an issue like that the other day, reboot router and all was fine. Where in Durban are you?

I am in hillcrest. have reset the modem so many times hoping it would just come back on. no luck :(

Could be line issues, other than that maybe a problem at the exchange.

After 40min with the hell desk @ telkom 38min of that with k@k music, they told me that KZN is having problems, "We are unable to tell you what the problem is, but our telkom techies are working very hard to fix the problem. Please be patient and we hope the problem is sorted out quickly".

Well it is sorted out now(after nearly 24hours). I especially loved it when they said, we don't actually know what the problem is but we hope to have it fixed soon..hmmmm, great. Thanks echo for the help none the less.

Glad to hear it's sorted out now, typical Telkom for you there, the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing (at times I'm lead to believe that the left hand does not even know the right hand exists!)
