@Bokdrol,

I actually thought of you when I read this.

Scientists have long searched for the key to getting rid of plaques that cause Alzheimer’s disease.

And now, a new study has revealed what they’ve been looking for may have been slithering at their feet all along.

Snake venom helps break down amyloid plaques in the brain that are synonymous with Alzheimer’s, according to scientists from Monash University in Melbourne.

A molecule in snake venom activates enzymes in the brain that help rid it of this toxic protein.

This discovery could lead to new therapies to stop early onset Alzheimer’s disease from progressing, experts said.

Interesting, thanks Pitbull.
Now to find a night adder to put in my mom's bed..........:p
That will be the final straw, she already is accusing me of trying to get rid of her. :D

But there is hope. I believe there is also some soundwave therapy that will help, but still a way off yet. Too late for my mom, but maybe in time for me.

Do you not talk night adders with me. Found one at my uncle's place in the living room and it took me weeks to go back there.

I though they found a cure for this recently in Australia using sonic waves. Was posted on MyBB not too long ago.

Luckily she doesn't remember that a lot. :p
