Edward Snowden likely in Moscow

A former National Security Agency contractor wanted by the United States for revealing highly classified surveillance programs was believed to have landed in Russia on Sunday – possibly as a stopover before traveling elsewhere – after being allowed to leave Hong Kong.

The US has a smaller population than China ... but more of its citizens in jail than China. Hmmm.

Run Snowden run! The eagle's feathers will be plucked one by one until it can chase no more.

He's going to Equador probably via Moscow and then Cuba.

Assange would have arranged it for him.

@RicardoPatinoEC: The Government of Ecuador has received an asylum request from Edward J. #Snowden

Stalin managed to hunt down Trotsky in Mexico
Mossad managed to kidnap Mordechai Vanunu and take him back to Israel where he spent a number of years in jail.

Snowden is going to have to be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life.
South America is the home of MANY mafia drug gangsters.

BTW ; looks like Obama and his occupation army are going to be in SA just in time for Mandela's funeral .....

True. That comes with the choice he made.

It will however not be good for the US if anything were to happen with Snowden. The last thing they need now is for him to die in a very convenient "car crash", like happened to Hastings last week.

Obama's timing is good in one way and bad in another. There are major concerns about violence erupting and Obama may be advised not to be around in case of such an eventuality. Our security systems are all on high alert.

I was wondering how others felt about this thing. Should he taken back to the US and tried in court or do you think Snowden should be "allowed" to slip the net to Ecuador?

Ecuador. Or if I were him, preferably Iceland...

Michael Ratner, Assange’s lawyer, said he didn’t know Snowden’s final destination, but that his options were not numerous. “You have to have a country that’s going to stand up to the United States,” Ratner said. “You’re not talking about a huge range of countries here.”

Zimbabwe!! :D

Have his day in court. governments arent above the law and neither is he.

Irony is he is seeking asylum in a country who's suppressing the media while targeting and intimidating those that critisize the regime.

Just another Assange. Shallow hypocrite looking for 5 minutes of fame.
