A warning to the kind folk here at myBB. Last night I went past our local sex shop to stock up on condoms, lube etc. As I was paying I was given one "Black Ant King" tablet as part of there promotion of the product. I had a look at the packaging and it is marked as a "herbal enhancer" with "no known side effects.

No harm there, expecting it to perform as advertised. I dropped as i left the sex shop (preferring not to have such laying about). Long story short from last last night around 8:30ish to 10:00am i had literally a purple painful prick!! i eventually gave into my pride and went to the emergency room at the local clinic to have it sorted. Having read all sorts of horror stories online.

For you own good dont take it unless you have ED or the like and then rather go to your GP. China meds, lesson learned! My experience this morning was undignified and painful to say the least.

A bit of googling turned this up..

[3/16/2011] The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is advising consumers not to purchase or use “Black Ant,” a product for sexual enhancement sold on various websites. Claims made for the product falsely state that it is a “natural sexual enhancer” and that it has “no known side effects.”

FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Black Ant contains sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, an FDA approved prescription drug for Erectile Dysfunction (ED). The product tested had three times the starting dosage for the approved product. Sildenafil may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Men with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates.

Yassuss. And they just GAVE them away? That's hectic.

I had a mate who tried half a Viagra tablet and suffered 8/10 pain for about 3 days. Don't take this stuff unless you need it.

I spent about R800 I am guessing the tablet was as a promotion/gesture or just plain trying to get rid of them.. Its a matter of time before somebody does go back and has a "talk" with the owner. Should this have had a more sever medical impact. i.e. permanent ED, impotence .etc. as a direct result. i am sure there is some kind of legal recourse for selling improperly labeled goods.

Name and shame the Adult store as a warning to fellow myBB's, who don't want to experience the horror of a perpetual erection.
