So, how is Ubuntu 10.10, a.k.a. Maverick Meerkat?

I could never get used to Fedora - hated every second of using it. Just feels like a distro with no soul.

Interesting you say that, a friend swears by Fedora, I can't really comment as I have never used Fedora.

I have been using Ultimate Edition since venturing back into the Linux fold, and love it all the way. Would highly recommend it for newcomers, as most things play out the box (codecs etc.), as well as experienced users (which I like to consider myelf). Had some stability issues with FF, but they seem to have disappeared after the latest update.

As Tim says it depends on where your roots are.

I use both Ubuntu & Fedora but my Fedora roots go back to Redhat 5 in the mid 90s and it's what I've developed my Linux skills on. Nett result is I install Ubuntu for my clients (where possible, Windows is far from dead) and use Fedora in the office (Centos for servers).

I'd also like to find the time to try out OpenSUSE but that could be moot now that Novell has gone one way and the Microsoft patents seemingly in another.

Still, choice is what Linux is all about :)
