So how long did you wait for your iPhone 5 from Cell C?

Confirmed my order on 14 Jan and here I wait.. no ETA on stock.. no updates - just the excuse that there were thousands of pre-orders which begs the question; so why didn't you just order thousands back in Nov/Dec when you saw how many people were buying?

Walked into the Cape Gate store on Sunday and walked out 2 hours later with new iPhone 5 and a new contract.

Please note that this was the 32gb version. I think the problem with stock is with the 16gb versions.

Got mine from the Fourways store the same day i requested it. Thats after contacting almost every Cell C store in the country. I was told by one of the agents, the Fourways store distribution chain is different to that of the stores. Maybe you should give them a call and find out if and when they will have stock.

Just got an SMS now saying that I'll get my iPhone 5 in the 2nd week of February.. I assume my contract will only begin when I actually have the phone + sim.

Remember, I wasn't a client at all.

They had to first do a credit check on me, then verify all info, then rica, then activate with cellc , then with apple etc. etc.
I came prepared with all documentation required. Also, remember you sign your life away with most contracts, and there are lot of pages to sign.

I was actually very impressed with the time to be honest ( And for a Sunday )

Im currently on Vodacom, but have been rather interested in the Cell C deal.

Only thing is the signal availability and LTE? Anyone have any signal issues in CPT? And when are they rolling out LTE?
