Well recently been feeling sluggish, angry, weight packed on very quickly and not sure why. (Not been eating over the top)

Started to sweat more:sick: etc etc.

Anyway I was worried that I might have type 1 diabetes. Today it was confirmed:eek:

So yeah I am feeling well not that great at the moment!:(

Agreed first thing to do is cut down on all carbs. (No I don't eat sweets or drink cold-drinks)

Exercise a lot again etc!

Go for the chromium
Under the supervision of a doctor, take 200 mcg a day of this essential trace mineral to improve glucose tolerance
Fight back with fiber
Under a doctor's supervision, stabilize your blood sugar by eating fiber from whole grains, beans (legumes), vegetables, and fruit, and consider using a fiber supplement such as psyllium or guar gum
Protect with alpha lipoic acid
Protect against diabetic complications, such as nerve and kidney damage, by taking 600 to 1,200 mg of this supplement per day
Discover EPO
Help relieve pain from diabetic neuropathy by taking 4 grams of evening primrose oil supplements per day
Get to know niacinamide
Talk to a knowledgeable healthcare provider to determine if taking large amounts of the supplement niacinamide might prevent or limit the severity of type 1 diabetes in your family

Its very easily controlled, its just a few minor lifestyle changes and you'll feel better in no time at all ... Its very important for diabetics of any level to eat more frequent, smaller meals. If you go to a diabetic clinic (or google I suppose) you can get a full list of foods that will perk you up, and make you feel better quickly.

It's not as bad as it used to be, and you don't have to cut all the good stuff out completely either which in itself is a blessing. Good luck! (exercise, exercise) :p

I've had it since birth, now 35. You get used to the correct eating and healthy living. It's not that bad I can promise you. And stay away from alcohol....ok as far as possible.
And no it does not affect your sex drive if you live healthy:D

Thanks for all the advice and kind words everyone.

Today is the start of a new Lino'tjie, time to get my but back into gear. Although it will not be easy but not impossible.
