And the first thing it asked was for permission to draw over other apps. :wtf:

It got uninstalled after taking a good look at my finger.

I don't want nonsense like that.

Hi, I'm an Android dev . . . I can't think of any real reason why they would need to draw over other apps. .
most of the time you'd have to launch the app to interact with it, but for it to want to draw over other apps means it's going to be running all the time in the foreground . . .probably consuming data and other resources while not providing any real value. I've seen flashlight apps that want access to your phone identity and contacts - steer clear, these are rubbish apps which just want to get hold of your personal info to sell to the highest bidder.

I got rid of it when they abandoned the EeziCoupons. Is there one good reason left to still have the app?

Been using the Checkers app for several years and have saved a fair bit of money, especially wine. With the latest promotion, I received the discount wine price and since I purchased more than 6 bottles, got an extra 20%. Reckon the wine alone saved over R600. Got some Jonkershoek Neil Ellis Cab, Thelema 2011, 2011, 2012 and Constantia Glen 5

If the wine they advertise you want is not on the shelf, they will get it from another store (in CT s/suburbs) within 2 or 3 days. Their Rondebosch store has the best selection

Eezi Coupons did not work very well. Too many phantom articles. Once I scored, as the basket of items came to R 335,00 and with the EEzi story, it came down to R55,00. I could not figure out how this was calculated, but the cashier was happy, so why not.

Any benefits for non-alcoholics?

Draw over other apps? Is that even English?

Do you like downloading and trying a wide range Android games and apps? You may want to rethink that habit, or at least proceed with caution. A newly disclosed Android vulnerability means miscreants can use apparently harmless apps to fool you into giving them "permission" to take control of your phone or tablet and watch everything you do with it.

Researchers at UC Santa Barbara and the Georgia Institute of Technology recently revealed a vulnerability they call Cloak & Dagger that can let miscreants use your phone's own permissions against you. It works like this: You download and run a new app. As so many apps do, it pops up an opening screen that asks you to to agree to something. That something could be almost anything: Click here to watch our tutorial video. Or proceed to the game. It doesn't really matter what the app appears to be asking you to do. What it's really doing is asking your permission for administrative powers that let it use your phone for...whatever it likes.

How does it manage to fool you? Using an Android feature called "Draw over other apps," in which an image or dialog box appears on top of anything else that might be on your device's screen. The "chat heads" used by Facebook Messenger are one example of how this works.

And that should clear it up for you.

Screw wine. They have any rum and whiskey discounts?
