I'm in telecoms (testing).
We are actually going back to SA. My SO did not adapt so well, so the last 2+ years had been tough on her. The work environment was very nice, and the company has a very good work culture. They do a lot for their employees.

Oh, and you might want to join ToyTownGermany. They some social interactions. There is also a FB group for expats in Germany, called English Stammtisch - <town>.
