So what's actually going on...

Hi,

So since the beginning of Nov iBurst has, to put it mildly, SUCKED ! (mmm, brings back memories that one ;-) )

Since the start of hassles on 2 Nov things have just not "worked" ... and saddest of all, no one is actually willing to tell us what is wrong... got to love the mushroom treatment.

So, can anyone tell me:

1) When oss.wbs.co.za will actually let one check their bandwidth reports via helpdesk.wbs.co.za again?
2) When the "core network" will once again be green on the status page?
3) What broke and WHY is it still not fixed?
4) Why WBS has kept completely silent about it?

????

Well they have got the bandwidth page working agin, checked just now :). It gives you ur bandwidth, but still complains about some sort of error.

Other than that, hey i agree with you, it has been pretty crap.

I can't see my bandwidth usage. It looks like a problem with flash. I'm using Firefox on Linux. Is anybody else having problems?

Well I've got a direct line to Thumi's Cell and seems like he answers his calls :D other than that I had a connectivity problem yesterday and told the 1st tier to log it to the second tier and guess what? they called me this morning OMG!

Yep FF does work fine.. it would be strange if IE didn't. But I noticed that a connection is no longer made to oss.wbs.co.za, only to the helpdesk.wbs address.
Aah living in CPT, never these stupid network problems that you always speak of down here. Unless it goes down completely, which hardly ever happens, I've never had degraded connectivity.

On a seperate note - one of the best guys I know at WBS - Luis Chin - as taken ill and I'm sure he will be sorely missed @ WBS in the comming weeks. Feel better soon sire ;-)
