So who has the K850i, I have questions!

Hey, I got one yesterday and can't seem to get it to work on HSDPA speed. There is no indication when its on HSDPA.

I tried it at home where my VC E220 gets 4 bars and 1400 kbps. I used the same sim in the phone and only get 480 kbps. My N80 3G phone gives the same speed, so I assume the K850i is only running at 3G. Any advice please, phoning ericsson and vodacom was a waste of time.

i've only seen the 3G icon. I use the PC suite interface to dial out and it always shows GPRS. Is there a way to show images on this forum??

What do you think about the phone? What contract did you get it on? Pay-in?

It looks like a cool phone, only played with it a bit. Will be able to tell you more later. I mainly wanted it for the HSDPA which I cant get to work Paid in R1300 on the weekender package.

Ok, I did a master reset on the phone, reloaded the PCsuite software, did the updates to the new version, and it works . There is no indication that its on HSDPA, but the data speeds are good. When downloading on average I get 100KB/S and local pings of about 180ms. Thats about the same speed as my USB E220.

The camera also takes nicest pictures of all the phones I have had and compares well to my friends N95, but my cannon IXUS still beats the crap out of it.

They keypad takes getting used to, but after a while its not bad at all. The pre installed themes also make the phone look good.

What do you get with the phone? My car stereo has an aux in on the front, would I get everything with this phone to connect it, or will I have to buy some stuff?

you only get the standard stuff, usb cable, charger and headphones. BTW it charges off usb which is nice.

Yes but SE come with fast port or something?

And I know that the W series comes with some audio type connects, thats why Im asking?
So I take it thats a no?

The phone doesnt have a 3.5 mm audio jack, but it is possible to use it with the fast port? Right or wrong
