Reports to: DevOps Manager
Overall purpose of the position:
You are expected to maintain and optimize the performance of our internal, backend, provisioning and front-end systems across all spheres of the business, including the direct access, automated processes and APIs making integration possible. Your team works in an Agile Scrum environment and collaborating directly with the DevOps team and stakeholders of your projects.
Minimum requirements:
• Relevant qualification: BSC in Computer Science and / or relevant Diploma
• 3+ years’ experience in software development
• Coding experience:
o C# (3+ years)
o MS SQL Server 2008+ / MySQL (either one, 3+ years)
• Willingness to work standby shifts: this position includes rotational standby work (after normal working hours; weekends / public holidays etc.)
Ideal requirements:
• PHP experience: 1+ year
• Coding experience:
o JavaScript / JS frameworks
o API Integration
o HTML / CSS
o Version Control
o Other beneficial coding:
ASP; Xml; JSON; SOAP
• Systems: beneficial experience in extending WHMCS
• Strong Object orientated understanding
• Working with data architecture (N - Tier Architecture web applications), high level systems architecture (SOA service oriented architecture), and SDLC / Software Design Patterns
• Software testing methodologies (TDD test driven development), Business Analysis, Business Process Management, Agile development methodology, Scrum
Key competencies:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Ability to communicate technical, complex concepts to all levels in the business
• Flexible (able to work overtime when required)
• Always learning and maintaining technical knowledge to support our fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team
