Software to map servers and dependencies

I'm looking for software that will help me index, map, describe all our companies servers. There are about 230 of them.

They've been using Excel, but can anyone recommend anything better? It'll be great if it can automatically show dependencies between servers etc. Something like mind mapping software?

The information that will be captured includes everything from OS used, to vendor information, business owners, prerequisites etc.

Any advice would be appreciated.

You would need to use some inventory software for this.

We use Nagios, but that's cause we monitor the servers as well. Otherwise look @ http://www.lansweeper.com or http://www.systemhound.com
