Damn, that's hectic Fudzy.

Will chat to the lawyers/agent now and find out when I can expect it and let you know.

I think I need a stiff drink now! :)

There is nothing wrong with you calling the lawyer/estate agent and finding out on what date you will be paid. In fact I would recommend it. People work faster when they know you are keeping tabs.

Never heard of occupational rent being paid together with the purchase price. Whoever would accept that is crazy - they have nothing to do with one another.

OP, your question isn't clear - do you mean the purchase price or occupational rent?

If so, first step is... the contract itself.

Purchase price. When will I be paid what I sold my house for (less the outstanding bond amount)

I laughed when I read this. Super helpful :D

what is so funny about this. it is a fact and that is it. no money will exchange hands until the transfer has been done end of story. you don't sign OTP and then move in to the house because you want to occupy the house or whatever the case may be, and then expect the money to be paid over to you if the house is still in your name, or not in your name whichever the case may be. you are being a nimrod.

As many have stated (per Celine and fish), on the date of registration of transfer.
