Some Raru customers are struggling to get refunds on delayed and cancelled orders

Question for all you victims, why has anyone not done a credit card charge back yet? you guys do realize it is a thing right?
Do a chargeback and wait for them to realise it before doing an eventual refund. Then when they pick up their mistake tell them it takes 30 days to do a refund. WIN

Bcos this company promises u the item will be received within a week or so on the latest and then the cool off period per say has lapsed. They know what they are doing to ensure they do not have to refund the customer and then the customer is forced to take something else and pay in the difference.

Still doesnt sound like a good enough excuse to me, if a company is playing around then you do a chargeback and stop going back n forth with them, I paid a company with my cc and two months later i was still waiting, I did a charge back on my cc and 3 days later my funds were back in my CC. Wake up people. Credit cards are there for a reason, it is not your money so the bank will make sure you get it back since it is their money.

Still doesnt sound like a good enough excuse to me, if a company is playing around then you do a chargeback and stop going back n forth with them, I paid a company with my cc and two months later i was still waiting, I did a charge back on my cc and 3 days later my funds were back in my CC. Wake up people. Credit cards are there for a reason, it is not your money so the bank will make sure you get it back since it is their money.
You can't do a charge back after a month, most of the time the product is supposed to arrive after a month.

To be honest I have only good memories of the team at RaRU. However globally there are major supplier issues. Try ordering some stuff from Logitech and HP and the wait time 1 month or more. Some people will know they get their stuff but some dont want to wait. I order a lot from Amazon 1-3 months wait, but I got it every time.

I got to know them when they were with Shoppingmatrix which they built before Takealot. Then onto Takealot and then Raru. A lot od their market has changed and they switched to a more niche market which is tricky. Shipment delays, supplier issues, transnet strikes, covid. It created a total nightmare. And sadly niche markets will suffer.

Yet knowing that they are great guys, friendly, hardworking etc I will still support them. But then again they supply stuff that takealot sometimes cant.

Have a look at the chaos caused due to covid, transnet and worldwide supplier issues. Total chaos.

And dealing with customs or sars is easier than getting an vault copy birth certificate from Home affairs. Yip 2 years and waiting. Been at them 8x.

What is the time frame this credit card charge back lapses. Must it be initiated within a certain time frame?

Okay so i just checked my credit card statement, I made a payment on the 1st of august, got no delivery and then did a charge back, I did have to send details proving that there was no delivery made. Money sent/refunded back to my account on 3rd September by FNB. Case was closed.

They are not upfront. They push it.to 7 days. Then anothern7 days then 14 days then 3.days. and always the same generic evasive answers

Upon further inv according to FNB you can lodge a dispute within 3 months from date of purchase I have opened a ticket with them and send them all the proof now. Takes upto 10 days for feedback from FNB. I am also contemplating of opening a fraud dockets against Raru

Why aren't they refunding you? I got mine after 10 days
