Nothing wrong with polymer. My frame is polymer and shows no sign of abuse

So CZ Phantom for 9k or Glock 34 for 12k? 3k is a lot of money.... now all I have to do is actually go out on the range and see if its something I want to do.

I'm interested in taking up the sport. before I go through all the hassle of getting a licence and buying a firearm, I would like to have a go at a range.

I need someone who is willing to take me, I will pay for ammo used and any other applicable fees.
This would be for a hand gun. (not revolver)

Oscar, is that you? :erm:

Most gun shops have a rent option 50R/R100 per weapon

And around R200 for 50 rounds 9mm

Careful that Glock might go off in your pants and leave you screaming like a girl.

A polymer pistol has its own characteristics. One being prone to misfires if fired from certain positions. Sure, they are lighter, but a heavier pistol prevents some of the muzzle flip.

Please explain why it would misfire

So I went to a gun range yesterday and one of the 'managers' helped me quite a bit and let me fire a few shots with his CZ SP-01 Shadow! very awesome gun.

I was pretty impressed with my grouping, and overall it was pretty enjoyable! Its definitely something I could continue with.
Now just to get licenced and choose a firearm!

Thats pretty interesting! I'm no expert, but I would say its a design fault of all Glocks, not specifically polymer framed Glocks. They shoud do a test where they fire every make of Glock and see where the misfires occur.

Then do A LOT of research on the firearm. Read as much info as you can and opinions on the FA. The phantom is a nice firearm and spares and extras are readily available.

Licence the FA under occasional sport shooting or dedicated sport shooting.
