Nice, but I just don't want another device (and another remote). I will rather put a Bluray drive in my Media Center PC.

Get a Harmony for the remote side of things ;)

I had a logitech harmony 525, but it's a MAJOR pain to program / reprogram. After two months the LCD packed up and I got my money back. I re-invested the money into my LCD TV.

The sad thing is, it's a very nice remote with a massive device database, but I just can't live with it's software. I might try it again, if they can improve that.

I've had exactly the opposite experience with the 525. I think the software is great and it works in a logical way. I was up and running in literally 5 minutes and works perfect with my system. The only gotcha was the jogging on my PVR that didn't work. I programmed those two codes and this also works great. The money I spent on the remote is some of the best investments I've made in all my gear.

The software is ok...if I could actually get it to start. The problem is that you must be connected to the internet to use the software. I was forever getting errors and code dumps just after putting in my username and password. And, yes, I was running the latest version because it annoyingly always force you to do an upgrade.

Don't get me wrong, the remote is great, but the logitech software is very buggy and it just wasn't reliable for me. I googled it, lots of people have the same problems.

Not sure if its the same Software as the Harmon 1000 - I assume so - and its REALLY crappy - its slow - and it takes forever to setup a decent system - I've got about six devices, amp, TV, media center, playstation, light - and to setup or change anything takes forever.

I have to agree with xrapidx... I have a 525 and the software is crap..

BUT once its setup, the remote is a beaut tho... I love the actions, they're the best thing ever... Now I just need to get the other ppl to understand not to fsck with my system and only use the universal remote.

I tried that......

They got fished out of their hiding place... and it then took me 20 minutes to get everything sorted out again so my Harmony worked the devices properly again

Lol. I already have two xbox360's another console would be a little hard to justify to my wife :D

Well, if you allowed 2 then why not sell one Xbox & get yourself a "Blu Ray" player instead.

Or you could pay a little more and get a ps3 and play games too! \0/

This is a viable option - IF you're a gamer. For me it just doesn't make sense though. I'd never use the PS3 for games. So I'd rather pay 1 or 2k less for a stand-alone player.
