Can anyone please help with the distinction between these two sets? The specs on sony website look identical.

Some resellers are claiming 60000:1 on the V series and some are claiming 33000:1 The sony website does not have this.

Whether this will even make a difference I don't know but if anybody can recommend one over the other? The S 550 I can get for R1k cheaper than the V 550.

Thanks

11k at Makro. I think Hyperama has the V400 (Bravia 2 engine). But I'm gonna call them just now. Thanks for that alf101

foned a few house and home stores, pavilion in durban and canal walk. They only have the S series for R10 989 . Pavilion has S for same price and V for R12 999.

Am i correct in assuming checkers hyper (house and home) is hyperama? I think Makro is the best deal at the moment with the S for R10,500 and the V for R10,999 .

And the V - looks like an old one, nice in silver though.
