Please recommend the most cost effective solution for the following setup.
I have a Sony Bravia HDTV (not WIFI ready) with HDMI input. 5 years old.
LENOVO laptop connected wirelessly or LAN to DLINK router or by LAN to LAN network
ADSL via DLINK router.
LAN network in every room; also near TV
NETGEAR Wireless repeater for remote areas in the house
To stream to TV from my laptop, I set up the laptop next to the TV and connect via RGB and audio cable.
I want to stream to the TV without having to reposition and hard connect the laptop.
I can use the LAN network but how do I go from LAN to HDMI?
Is there a WIFI solution?
Experts please help

In that case you're easiest and cheapest option would be to get a media player.

In fact, you get very nifty Android sticks which plugs directly into the HDMI port of the TV and gets its power straight from the USB or external charger if you don't have a USB port. Most of them have wifi and bluetooth

As the other members say get a media player.

I have a PS3, super easy to setup media streaming.

Hi There,
+1 for the media player suggestions. I use an old PC as a media player permanently attached to the TV and stream through LAN cable to the PC. No issues in viewing.
There are a number of media streaming programs that you can use but I like XBMC
