Sony reveals PlayStation 5 price and release date

Sony has announced the price and release date of its new PlayStation 5 gaming console.

The console will be available in two models – a regular PlayStation console and a disc-less Digital Edition.

The PS5 Digital Edition will retail for $399 while the standard PlayStation 5 with a disc drive will be priced at $499.

Yep........waiting for this one.

Suddenly the price of the Xbox Series S don't look so good

Besides performance I think GamePass is going to be the killer deal for the Series S.
I've lost touch with console gaming. Does Sony offer nothing similar?

Edit: Nvm. PS Now

My pedantic inner self wants to point out that it doesn't have a disk drive (let alone a disc drive).
SSD <> disk

Personally, with the severely reduced number of consoles predicted to ship, I wonder if this is the PS to have.
That said, I think they underestimated people's hunger for entertainment after all this lockdown nonsense. I think some are going to beg, borrow and steal for a new console.

Watch those 'savvy entrepreneurs' snap up a few and sell them at jacked up prices to.take advantage of the limited supply..
