Hi All

Searched through the forums, seems people are not to keen on Sony LCD's.

My budget is R6000 for a 32 lcd, game is having a special on a Sony HD ready T series for R5700 - you think it's worth the money?
I just want it to watch the occasianal sabc etv prog. mostly be used for DVD's and AVI series.

Or should I wait for another brand to come on special?
Game seems to have specials on every week for different brands, can kick my self for not getting a Sinotec 32 HD ready for R4500 two weeks back!

i was in the same situation as you a few months ago
was lookin for a 32 and almost bought the T, but at the last moment didnt, just didnt like the look of the tv set itself, so thought id get the S series which looks better in my opion, its same thing apparently bar a few extra inputs and the casing, so went shopping around and a week or 2 later i got a 42 full hd LG on special for 9999 at game and am quite happy.

i think the t also only has one hdmi input, which sucks for future proofing
but itll be fine for dvd and series, normal tv not so good but u get used to it

in the end, buy what makes u happy, and spend to get the best u can afford now to save later

That's not a bad price for a Sony. If your budget is R6k, then the Sony is probably your best choice.

One is enough ... HDMI amplifiers may be a little pricey now, but eventually it'll trickle through to cheaper hi-fis and all peripherals will go direct the amp - with one HDMI to the TV.

I've got 2 x HDMI imputs on the TV - and 3 x HDMI on the amp. My Xbox, media player and DVD player go straight to the amp and one HDMI to the TV

The sony T series seems to be bottom of the range though with only Bravia Engine 2 to it's name.
What are the Logik LCD sets like, looked at game they had them lined up next to each other, Logik doesnt seem to bad, all where running through compisite cable to dstv.

True,
I have heard only good things about Sinotec on every forum website.
Logik is games "baby" so doesnt draw attention except for price.

Game unfortunately can't tell me when they will have Sinotec specials again, hopefully at the same price as two weeks ago R4500 for 32 HD ready, 6.5ms rsponse time is decent!

Again kicking myself :(

Makro also sell the Sinotec, So have alook there as well. But if you can, go for the Sony but not the T Series.
