Sony Viao issues

Hi Guys

A colleague of mine had a few issues when trying to install a Huawei E620 Datacard on a Sony Viao.

He installed the Vodafone Mobile Connect Software (Version 7.0) and when he inserted the datacard the Viao picked it up but never installed the drivers for it, so he had to physically go into the device manager and reinstall the data card drivers.
The Viao picked it up and everything was fine.

When he tried to connect to the network the little connecting message it just stayed their for 10 minutes and never connected.

He restarted the machine and tried to connect and got the same result.

He removed the software and reinstalled it and tried to connect and got the same result.

Does anyone know if their are compatibilty issues between the Sony Viao and the Vodafone Mobile Connect Software or does someone have any suggestions on solving this problem.

sony vaio...yep....that covers around 300 models.
for compatibility questions, you may just want to add the model number, as not all beasts are born the same

I'm using a sony vaio, no problems with the Huawei card, or any of the others... Try the card in another laptop maybe? Could be a faulty card
