Sony Z3 Compact - The best little Android in the universe

Anyways, I ended up going with a Note 4 in the end... Will get a Sony next round, if they're still in business.

FNB has added the Z3 to the Smart Devices section on their website. Listed at R449.

The Z3 compact isnt there (yet?) . .

I got my Compact yesterday.
I really have to give credit to the staff at Vodacom Southgate. They didn't have stock yet when I first went in to renew my contract, but ordered me a black one, and kept me informed of the delivery status. The one lady phoned me as they received the boxes - I swear she was more exited than me! She gave me good advice while comparing the Z3 and the Compact, looked at my current usage and suggested a change in my contract that will probably end up saving me R400 a month. Even ordered me the black case I wanted for the phone, as they only had purple when I was first there.

As for the phone - I love it! I'm getting a magnetic charger for it as soon as possible, I don't like the idea of opening those covers all the time. Its a tad smaller than my S3, but just the right size. Upgraded the firmware to the newest build last night (Not Lollipop yet) and started playing around with the Power Management. Looks like I'll get 3 days battery life out of it.
The OS is very slick - almost pure Android, without the bloatware you get on the Samsung. And what there is is actually quite handy. I don't know what everyone is talking about with the camera - so far the stock software looks pretty impressive.

All in all - I think I found a pretty decent replacement for my trusty S3.

They only stock the Roxfit - so I went with that.
I like the Sony Case with the screen on the front. But it looks a bit too expensive at R600.

So now do i go MTN (I get a 15% discount with work off MTN corporate contracts), or should I go prepaid :/

I'd been waiting on TM too - I'll wait until Monday to see if FNB will offer the Z3c, otherwise I will be in the same boat as you . .

MTN is good, but make sure you get an ANYTIME contract, not a MyChoice.

AnyTime is a lot more flexible.

If this is true about TM then it is a sad sad day...
Cell C has a decent deal as well, else I'm also forced with the MTN Corp contract discount..

I highly doubt it, as it's one of the few phones that will actually give you LTE reception on Telkom Mobile's network.

Let's wait for Telkom Mobile to give us the info.
