Okay :) a friend of mine got his Z3 compact the other day, but he is an ex apple guy. So far it's just been complaints sigh.

I know, happens all the time.

It's because your friend now has complete freedom/too much freedom to configure his phone, and not used to it at all.

But once they taste freedom, they are normally the biggest believers. ;)

Does he want to sell it? :p

Nope he wanted to swap it for an iphone 6 and pay in where necessary I suppose. He might come around as he is a developer and wants to develop an app.

I picked up Android immediately when I moved from an iPhone 3G to a HTC Desire HD.

Downloaded the same apps from the Google Play Store and that was it - I was up and running with Android.

And got a nice surprise when WhatsApp gave me a lifetime account. Think I paid $0.99 for it in Apple iStore.

Where is your friend? I may be open to that...

MTN is good, but make sure you get an ANYTIME contract, not a MyChoice.

AnyTime is a lot more flexible.
Hey Chevron, I'm genuinely curious, Why is anytime a better option?
I'm currently on anytime 200 due for renewal so was considering going for the mychoice contract. Anything we should watch out for?

Z3c on Anytime 200 topup is R459. That's a bit ridiculous.

My choice gives you a fixed amount of data, calls and sms.

Anytime gives you an airtime value and you can spend it as you see fit.

The pamphlet makes it sound like you can customise the amount of each, but that seems almost too good to be true and would be more expensive anyway.

Noted - will keep this in mind! Thanks and sorry for going off topic. Back to Z3C

I was thinking of going for the MTN Mychoice 100 and then adding a 1gb bundle, which would take it to around R500 pm, minus 15%, and looking at R425... Probably only R50 bucks more than TM would have been :/
Wish they had the dual sim, would love to put an afrihost mobile or TM mobile simcard for data...

If you're on an MTN contract then you should be able to use the AfriHost APN for data.. Confirm with an AfriRep ?
