Buy it online, as I intend on doing so. There will probably poor availability of a wide range of cases for the Z3 compact in stores, since it's not one of the best sellers...

Depends where you go.

Vodaworld had tonnes of Z3 Compact stuff.

So I'm still waiting for my phone from Orange, the shipping times are grossly innaccurate, everyday I look is says "3 days remaining"! They don't reply to your emails, and I've had a look at HelloPeter and it looks like most people are having similar experiences...

I would advise anyone to steer clear from ordering from Orange for now, prices are good, but customer service is appaling. Even on HelloPeter if you read the responses, you can see they're just doing damage control, they're not actually helping the customers at all :/

Not feeling very confident about receiving my phone anytime soon :(

Hmm. I had a interesting thing happen today.
Driving into work - I suddenly lost all signal. One moment it was LTE and Umano was telling me about Hollywood Beauty-Work, and the next - nothing. The little exclamation mark was showing. So I knew I was in a area with good signal, but thought it was a problem with the cell in the area. But after about 5 minutes I still had no signal, restarted the phone and it was back.

Thing is - I had the same issue with my Galaxy S3 - the main reason I upgraded my contract and took a new phone.
Samsung actually looked at the phone and told me the mainboard needed to be replaced.
Now - different phone, different SIM, same provider - Vodacom. Anyone else experience this?

If it's been dispatched from Orange get hold of DHL, almost all delays I've seen from Orange are due to DHL's incompetence... They leave it sitting at customs needing an ID number to import it. Doesn't matter if you gave it to them already you need to contact them. Fing useless bunch.

Yup, many a time - also Vodacom.

My phone is now perm on 2G to alleviate the problem.

My mother experienced it last week on MTN's network in Malmesbury.

Had to restart her brand new Nokia a few times.

Better this week.

Tks I'll look into it, but according to website it hasn't been shipped yet. Furthermore the money hasn't come off my bank account yet, which is a bit odd, but also a bit comforting!

Ah then that might be an issue, probably waiting for stock or something... Took nearly a month for them to charge me

So, anyone managed to get any accessories, specifically cases and those strengthened glass type screen protectors, in and around Jhb?
Not too keen on online as delivery times might be a bit long.

I might get my white Z3 Compact tomorrow. I've been searching for a white one for about a 3 weeks now.

Most shops will order one for you if you ask.

Four or five MTN local shops. The ones who had stock only had black.

Yeah I had to book my white Z3 as well. Had to wait a week for them to get stock. Don't regret it for a second though.

So for you it's a massive upgrade. I'm still keeping my Note3. Just incase. Lol.

You're comparing a phone people like because it's small, to a phone like because it's big.
